Desi Doll Company is dedicated to ensuring your privacy and personal data is protected. This page outlines how Desi Doll Company collects and uses your information, including any data you may supply when checking out, creating an account, signing up for our emails, or providing a review.

While this policy outlines most of the interactions on our website, some of our partners used for billing and credit card processing may have their own privacy policy. Additions to this policy may be made at any time, and additional policies may be shown for specific interactions, such as signing up for our email list or transferring to a billing partner.

Who we are:
Desi Doll Company is a growing toy maker centered in London, UK. We’ve been in business for over ten years, and our products are available on our website and through select retailers. We may make toys for children, but this site is not intended for use by a child, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. In this policy, when using “we”, “us”, or “our”, we are referring to our company.

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed

What we do with this information:

Our email marketing  provider requires a special consent or “opt-in” which indicates you wish to receive future emails when we send them, indefinitely. If we do need to use your data for another purpose that is compatible with the original purpose and does not infringe upon your consent or rights, we may do so. If we ever need to use your personal data for an unrelated purpose, we’ll notify you and explain why.

We require all third parties to respect your security in accordance with the law and use it only for the specified purposes. Some of our third parties may be outside of the EEA (European Economic Area) so in processing your personal data may involve a transfer.

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.
Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you.


How long your data is stored:

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for 5 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.

Comments:

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Payment Processors

We accept payments through PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

WooPay

Credit Card payments are processed by WooPay through Stripe. This third party may also offer Apple Pay®, Google Pay, Klarna, Afterpay, and Affirm. Each of these third party services offer their own privacy policy.

Gift Cards

Gift Cards stores the following information, as provided by gift card buyers:

  • Sender name.
  • Recipient name.
  • Recipient email.
  • Message from sender to recipient.

This information can be used to personally identify the sender and recipient(s), and is stored indefinitely.

Full access to all gift card data is restricted to Store Administrators only. Store Managers may view and search by sender, recipient and gift card code. However, gift card messages cannot be viewed by Store Managers.

Security:

We have security measures in place to protect your personal information from being lost or stolen, and from being used, altered, or accessed in an unauthorised way.  Your data is limited to only employees, agents, and third party services that are required to complete the purpose for which it was collected.


How to change or delete your information:

You have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data at any time, as well as the right to withdraw consent or file a complaint with your area’s governing body. You will never have to pay a fee to do so. We may require confirmation of your personal information to verify your identity and ensure you have the right to access the data. This is a security measure to prevent is not disclosed to someone with no right to access.
