I’m Farzana Rahman, the founder of The Desi Doll Company Ltd, a UK based company established in 2008. As a Muslim mother of three young children, I wanted to help them learn about their Islamic faith in a fun and exciting way. I couldn’t find any toys that did this, so I left my career in Investment banking and started designing and creating toys.

All my children from small have used it and found it so useful. The pillow became their bed toy as well as helping them recite and play with their friends. Our son Zayd loves Yousuf... he would always play with him and recite the Quranic verses... He loved Yousuf so much that we had to get a second one after his first one was crushed with too many hugs. Zayd eventually passed on Yousuf to his younger brother... who doesn’t leave Yousuf alone for a minute. I just recieved the Ramadan Calendar and I have to say it is absolutely lovely! The quality is great and the pockets are good sizes to put all sorts of treats and activities in. I love how the phases of the moons are shown for each day and the there is a crescent moon cut-out to keep track of the days. I am extremely pleased with my purchase.
